See What's Moving Before Wall Street Wakes Up
Most of us hear about a stock move after it happens — an earnings report, an AI contract, a sector suddenly running — and by the time the news reaches us, the opportunity is gone.
We created Elite Trade Club to fix that.
Each trading day, our team publishes a pre-market briefing built for active traders: stocks surging or collapsing before the open, key earnings that could move markets, under-the-radar companies gaining institutional attention, and the macro events worth watching today.
Fast, practical, straight to the point.

Northwestern Ontario's central-time communities will skip the clock change from Nov. 1

Ontario says the part of the northwest that observes central time, from the English River to the Manitoba border, will move to permanent daylight saving time on Nov. 1. The change lines the area up with Manitoba, which announced the same switch last month, and Minister Greg Rickford said it followed consultations with municipalities and First Nations. Thunder Bay is on Eastern time, so nothing changes here; the move is meant to keep the region's central-time communities in step with Manitoba.

Oliver-Paipoonge voting opens today, by phone or online only

Voting in Oliver-Paipoonge's municipal election opens today, Oct. 14, and closes Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. There are no paper-ballot polling locations: residents vote by telephone or online through Intelivote, using the PIN and credentials in their voter information letter, and the municipality has a step-by-step guide on its website. If you live in Oliver-Paipoonge, find your voter information letter first, then vote any time before 8 p.m. on Oct. 26.

TBNewsWatch starts profiling Thunder Bay's mayoral candidates

TBNewsWatch has begun a video series on the people running for mayor. The first two profiles are of Doug Vincent, who points to four decades of public service experience, and Wolfgang Schoor, who says he would draw on his engineering background to improve infrastructure and public safety. Online voting opens Oct. 19, so the series is a short way to hear each candidate in their own words beforehand.

The OPP show how many drivers ignore the move-over law

After a long weekend of traffic enforcement, the OPP posted a video showing drivers who don't slow down or move over for stopped emergency vehicles, saying officers can see 10 to 20 vehicles fail to make space during a single traffic stop. Not slowing down and moving over for an emergency vehicle or tow truck with its lights on starts at a $490 fine and three demerit points, and can climb to $2,000 and a licence suspension of up to two years. If you see flashing lights on the shoulder, move into the open lane when it's safe, or slow right down.
🗳️ Your call: northwestern Ontario's central-time communities are about to stop changing their clocks. Should Thunder Bay follow?
Northwestern Ontario's central-time communities stop changing their clocks on Nov. 1. Should Thunder Bay do the same?
